What's up with the zone?

Category: Let's talk

Hi,
OK, maybe no one else cares, but I'd just like to know what's up with this website?
Nothing works anymore, the only advantage I see for preiam members is that you could have a longer audio profile.
I can't get anymore points, there is no more sports challenges, and I just don't know, what's up?
Talk to you all later,
Goldberg

Lol, he's right. I'm a standard member and I won't upgrade until I see some sort of improvement or some major advantage. I can't think of any real reason for wanting quick note history unless your having internet sex or someone gives you some sort of information that you'll forget to write down or take note of!

we are working on some other things for premium members. We will let you all know when they become available. Thing is though, you have to understand, things like this can take a fair bit of coding, and our admins do have lives outside this web cite. So, just be patient people!

hey, things don't always work out i cannot upgrade who would pay some of my bills for all the stuff i want to upgrade yearly costs for this and lj if i did do that would all amount to fifty dollars or more and i just don't have it maybe once i get some sort of job

I will never part with an outrageous £25 to upgrade it's just not worth the money ...I'd rather give my cash to Failte

Well, to be fair it's not 25 pounds, it's only approx 15 pounds, actually only around 14 I believe given current echange rate. If people don't consider that fair for the amount of time and effort that people spend on this web site, that's totally fine but those who do appreciate the time and effort that has gone into creating this community and can afford it should contribute the money. I actually find the quick note history feature great, I can look at all public discussion and even private notes that I didn't get due to having logged out before they were sent, it may not appear to be a big feature but it's really amazingly useful.
cheers

talk about stating the feckin obvious you would think he was adressing a group of primary school children...

ah here we go again *yawns*. Yes, the quicknote history is handy to have, but for those who choose to keep quicknotes turned off I guess it isn't of much use ...

Post 9 by Goblin (I have proven to myself and the world that I need mental help) on Monday, 04-Apr-2005 13:40:51

there is also the Pm facility but some eejits refuse to answer and prefer to fight in public

Post 10 by sugarbaby (The voice of reason) on Monday, 04-Apr-2005 13:46:14

there is also the ignore facility and once you put a user on ignore you do not receive pm's from them. That way you can avoid having to receive abusive and threatening messages from undesireables.

Post 11 by sugarbaby (The voice of reason) on Monday, 04-Apr-2005 13:46:58

but those two features do not come as part of the premium package ...

Post 12 by Goblin (I have proven to myself and the world that I need mental help) on Monday, 04-Apr-2005 13:51:38

Post 16 by Batman413 (Zone BBS is my Life) on Monday, 04-Apr-2005 17:24:45

OK everyone,
I didn't mean to start this big thing; it's just that things have like froze.
I'm currently at the top of the score boards in points along with like six or seven others, and we can't get anymore points for some reason.
The chatting, quicknotes, voice chats, and profiles are all great, but maybe some people like to compete?
I really liked the sports challenge, and now there are never any open pools.
And, back to the points; I used to come on here, earn points, and talk to people, it was fun. Now, I can't do any of that. All I can do is read the boards because there is obviously some kind of limit on the points.
Not saying anything is bad, just saying things have stopped and they are not what they used to be.

I think all that changed was that the interest you get for logging in has now been changed, and I think that was done because of how many points you can earn purely for being here .. someone with 2 billion points would previously have earned 2 million just for logging in and that was seen as unfair to the users with less oints ..

Post 18 by Batman413 (Zone BBS is my Life) on Monday, 04-Apr-2005 18:25:11

Actually, the points don't go up at all. I understand what you mean, but you are wrong.. We get a 1000 point interest, and my points don't go up.

That's interesting about the points. Could it be cause you're at the top of the list?
